A1Surf.com Under 8’s Groms Surf Comp

A1Surf.com and Alder Wetsuits are giving the next stars of British surfing the chance to shine with a fun surf comp – the A1Surf.com Under 8’s Groms Comp.

As the name suggests, this competition is open to any boys and girls under the age of 8 years old (by Saturday 4th July).

It will be held on Saturday 4th July on the beach in front of the main paddle village at 2pm.
Alder Wetsuits have kindly donated some amazing wetsuits and accessories for the first, second and third place winners. There will be goodie bags for all entrants too.

All we ask is that each child raises some sponsorship money, which will be shared between the three main charities.
The competition will be low-key, with the emphasis on the kids having fun. An adult helper will be allowed in the water with each entrant, so they can be pushed into waves if required.

Soft surfboards will provided for competitors, but all children must bring and wear a wetsuit and also wetsuit boots (or similar footwear).

To enter your child for this competition, please email david@a1surf.com by Friday 26th June 2009. All entrants will be contacted with further instructions prior to the Paddle Round The Pier.

Please note: We reserve the right to cancel the contest if our water safety officers deem the conditions to be dangerous. All parents/guardians will be required to sign a waiver form stating they take personal responsibility for their child during the competition.
