paddle round the pier 2008, Brighton Beach July

Volunteering @ Paddle Round the Pier Beach Festival

Do you want to get involved in one of the biggest events of the Brighton and Hove summer? There’s tons of exciting stuff going on at Paddle Round the Pier Beach Festival 2008 (www.paddleroundthepier.com) taking place on Saturday July 5th and Sunday July 6th. Be part of this brilliant watersports charity event and help raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute, Surf Aid International and Chestnut Tree House. It’s a great way to meet lots of people and get involved in a big community event.

We need enthusiastic ‘land-based’ volunteers to shake money buckets, register paddlers, hand out programmes and help set-up and pack-up the site.

We also need ‘water-based’ volunteers for our water safety teams, so please get in touch if you want to get involved and are one of the following:

•           experienced surfer or/and kayaker
•           a qualified lifeguard
•           a diver qualified to PADI rescue diver or above
•           a boat owner/handler
