Surf Life Saving GB is delighted to work with Paddle Round The Pier to offer some fantastic events and activities for everyone on Brighton beach! Watch some of the best Life Saving Sport competitors battle it out in the 2nd race of the British Board Series 2011, sponsored by Bennett. Paddle Round The Pier is bringing a taste of Australia to Brighton. 100 tonnes of beautiful sand will create our soft beach, so join us to ‘have a go’ at Beach Flags. This fast and exhilarating beach-based game is essential training for Surf Life Savers – sharpening senses and increasing explosive sprint power; making responses to rescue situations quicker and more efficient. We are very excited to have world class beach flag athletes, Jo Devine and Leanne Martlew on hand to run demos and coaching sessions. This is a fantastic and fun opportunity to see what Surf Life Saving has to offer you. We look forward to seeing you there!
Also on offer…
The Brighton East Region Surf Life Saving Festival. From 2pm on Saturday and throughout Sunday, see our Surf Life Saving Clubs compete against each other for glory in their 2011 championships. Events will take place in the sandy beach on the promenade and there will be a simulated rescue on Sunday evening to show-case our important cause.
