A fantastic evening of skateboard fun is being set up for the Friday 1st July.
Yes, the night before the festival has traditionally ‘kicked off; on Brigthon and Hove’s lawns and beaches we are putting on a special evening of fun for skaters of all shapes and sizes and abilities.
The description goes like this :
Come down to Hove Lawns and ‘have a go’ at our free skate sessions on Friday 1st July from 16:30 – 18:30. We have three ‘half-pipe’ ramps set-up catering to all ages and skill levels. A midi (8 ft), mini (5 ft) and a micro mini (3ft) so no matter what your ability, come down to show off, learn some new skills or simply roll and have fun!
Come and try a different type of skating with ‘have a go’ sessions from slalom skateboards to Longboards, from 6-man dragon skateboards to pump skating.
There will be a range of boards, in all sizes, covering all disciplines and representing some of the best companies.
Make sure you bring some pocket-money too as there will be loads of gnarly and unique prizes to be raffled off.
After the skate fun we have local film producer Andy Evans and friends coming down to demonstrate how to make a skate video in the big top tent. This will be followed by a combination of Skate, BMX and Longboard movies about the local Brighton Scene at 7pm and a surf movie at 8pm.
